Yesterday was my Birthday!!
And I got 2 wonderful "gifts" First thing in the morning we went to see the new baby panda at the National Zoo. He was so cute- but not as cute as my second gift which was a new picture of Langley taken on February 21st by a wonderful family who is picking up their daughter now. Here are pictures of my day.

Happy Valentine's Day
Here is the update for the week...
We have our Visa to get to China- the agency is Fed-Exing it to us. (We already had passports)
We are still waiting for "Final Approval" from China.
Once we have that we make a CA (United States Consulate Appointment) to get her a visa and such. This is the last thing you do in China- so once you have that date you count backward to figure out when to leave.
Langley will be officially ours the day after we meet her. (We get to keep her with us from the moment we are handed her). Usually you go back the next day to finish all the paperwork.
We will probably get Langley the third day there- if we sightsee in Beijing first. This will also help us get over jet lag.
Some families who got referrals on 01/05/06 still do not have their final approval- so it could be several more weeks before we hear anything. Keep your fingers crossed.
Love,
Mary
