By the way.....

For those of you who are wondering. We are registered at: Target, Babies r Us and Walmart.
For those of you who want to buy clothes (and who doesn't love looking at itty bitty clothes) we are hoping the the 9-12 month will fit her- but since we don't know yet we can't be sure.

The Slow News Just Keeps Rolling In

Its pretty official (updates from the larger agencies) that CCAA will only send referrals for half months from now on- until the time between Log In Dates and Referral reaches 12 months. So this puts us to get our referral in February (later in February due to the Chinese New Year Celebrations).
While being discouraged Jamie keeps reminding me that we will get our daughter- even if it isn't on my time schedule.
It looks like China is trying to place more of its infants domestically- which is good. (And I know its way too early for me to worry about this but...) I am worried about when we try to adopt again- what will the wait times be then?

More Slow News

It was just posted (and yes it is just a rumor) that CCAA- the China Adoption Service who runs everything in China- is only going to do half months until Chinese New Year. That puts us getting our picture in the beginning of February- so who know what else is going to happen. Some days I am just so tired. But no more pity party eating- I went to the doctor last week and my cholesterol needs to come down. So no matter how bad I feel- I will not solve my problems with blueberry muffins, cheesecake, chocolate and spinach artichoke dips...... I will just eat oatmeal like a good girl.
I also switch the settings so I will stop getting stupid comments from people selling things- so if you have to type in a word- it is only because that is the only way to stop "mass" comments from coming.

What's Up

OK- Several things to report- some good...some not so good.....

Let’s get the bad over and done with:

• The last of the March referrals have still not been sent from China- referrals are usually sent at the end of the month- so we are still missing October's. We are not sure what this means for us- if we will still get our referral near the beginning of January- or if it will be pushed to February. It is frustrating, but I have a great support system on the web of other to be mothers going through the same thing. Last night I said to Jamie, "We will never get our baby." He reply, "I think never is a bit much- it may not be as soon as you want- but we will get her."
  This sounds crazy- but I feel like we must have her by May- because I really want a shot of Jamie in his cap and gown and her at graduation. I just think it would be so cute! But my life will not end it that doesn't happen (but May is a long way off and we should have her well home by then).

On the good front:

• Our church is having a baby shower for us on January 8th. I am so excited. It really makes it feel real. (I only wish I could have the picture before then- but that is probably not going to happen.) But we really do belong to a wonderful, loving church.
• Retail therapy really does help- I have gotten some really great things for Langley (got to love Craigslist) at really good prices. And every time I get something it makes me feel good.
• More time to make myself into a MILF (must exercise more).
